Chrysanthemum Show, Niagara Parks’ longest-running Floral Show returns September 16

77th annual Chrysanthemum Show transforms Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse into an autumn oasis

Two-stage design will showcase traditional garden mums and an exquisite Exhibition Chrysanthemum crop

Autumn marks the kick-off of the 77th annual Chrysanthemum Show at the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse! The picturesque floral show offers guests a stunning backdrop of vibrant fall colours, cascading from every corner of its historic glass-enclosed showrooms.

Starting September 16th, this year’s Chrysanthemum Show will feature two stages of florals, beginning with a bountiful arrangement featuring the season’s best traditional garden mums. By mid-October, the show transitions to highlight Niagara Parks’ exquisite Exhibition Chrysanthemum crop with stunning arrangements to celebrate the fall harvest. A centrepiece of the show will be a large floral topiary of mums trained in the shape of a giant flower, located in the centre of the greenhouse. The design for this year’s show, guided by the theme of discovery, features yellows and whites in the Centre House and traditional autumn hues of oranges, reds and yellows in the North House.

Considered by many to be one of Niagara Parks’ most spectacular seasonal displays, the beloved “Mum Show” also holds the title of Niagara Parks’ longest-running floral exhibit, premiering for the very first time in November 1946.

Location: Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse, 7145 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario (Parking available on-site)

Hours of Operation: Open daily, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Following the Chrysanthemum Display, the Niagara Parks Horticulture team will transform the greenhouses into the annual Poinsettia Display, which opens in November. For more information including season passes and bundled attractions packages, please visit niagaraparks.com/fallshow.
