In preparation for the upcoming winter season, Town of Lincoln staff and our contractor will be installing orange stakes throughout the community. These stakes will identify hazards that may interfere with our sidewalk snowplow operations. 

Installation of these stakes will take place over the next few weeks, and they will be in place for the entirety of the winter season, with removal occurring in early spring. If you notice markers only being placed on one side, this is a result of the operator following an identified route, where only one side is required to be marked.

It is important to note that these stakes are required to prevent potential damage; therefore, unless the stakes are causing an obstruction or sightline issue, the Town will not remove them.
