Nurse Practitioner Coming Soon to Niagara-on-the-Lake

Great news, Niagara-on-the-Lake! The Niagara North Family Health Team is recruiting a nurse practitioner for the new NOTL Health Care Clinic, which will serve individuals without a family doctor and visitors to the area by appointment and walk-in and provide ongoing chronic, preventative, and urgent care.

The nurse practitioner will be hired by April 2024 and will operate out of the Village Medical Centre, 101 Garrison Village Drive, Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Increased healthcare services are a significant achievement for Niagara-on-the-Lake, offering residents and visitors the care they need. Through collaborative and continuous efforts, this clinic will benefit the well-being of the community and contribute to the overall positive growth in Town. The Town is thrilled to welcome a new nurse practitioner to the community. Thank you to the Niagara North Family Health Team and all levels of government for their unified efforts!

“This announcement on successfully funding a nurse practitioner right here in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is a perfect example of what we can accomplish when we work together. I want to thank Lord Mayor Zalepa and Town Staff for working closely with my office to highlight the importance of getting a nurse practitioner back in Town and keeping it a priority for the government. I also want to thank Town Council, local media, and residents of the Town for continuing to raise this issue. Ensuring residents have access to high-quality, public health care, when and where they need it, remains a top priority and is a big win for the community.”
